The International Webinar #AskExpert35: “F1000Research Publishing: Tips for Successful Publication; Navigate F1000Research and Understand the Scopus Pathway” was successfully held on March 12, 2026, bringing together 275 participants from 22 countries, including Indonesia, the Philippines, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, India, Pakistan, Poland, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Nigeria, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Brazil, Spain, Palestine, Oman, Singapore, Kyrgyzstan, Kenya, Sudan, Rwanda, and Chad. The event demonstrated a remarkable global diversity of researchers, lecturers, students, and academicians, representing a wide range of disciplines such as education, economics & business, social sciences, life sciences, engineering, and other emerging research areas. This diversity created a vibrant academic atmosphere that encouraged knowledge exchange and international collaboration.
During the webinar, participants gained valuable insights through three key sessions. Topic 1: Introducing Global Research Ecosystem & F1000Research RSF Gateway provided an overview of the global research landscape and introduced the RSF Gateway as a platform to support open science and international collaboration. Topic 2: Publication, Peer Review, and Indexing explored the full publication journey, including the open peer review process and indexing pathways, helping participants understand how to navigate international publication visibility. These discussions helped participants better understand the strategic preparation needed before submitting their research. The final session, Topic 3: Publishing Model and Acceptance Criteria, further elaborated on how the F1000Research publishing system works, including its open access model and editorial transparency, while also highlighting how the RSF program enhances authors’ understanding through intensive support such as coaching programs and guided assistance.
