Research Synergy Institute, in collaboration with Forum Manajemen Indonesia (FMI) Koordinator Wilayah Jawa Timur, successfully held Webinar #AskExpert14: Digital Ethnography: A Contemporary Research Method for Publishing in SCOPUS/WOS-Indexed Journals on Friday, January 24, 2025. The event attracted 300+ participants from various backgrounds.

In this webinar, the welcome remarks were delivered by Dr. T. Aria Auliandri, SE, MSc from FMI and also a lecturer at the Department of Management, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga, Indonesia. This was followed by a global research ecosystem introduction from Dr. Hendrati Dwi Mulyaningsih, S.E., M.M., Founder & CEO of Research Synergy Foundation. The webinar was then concluded with closing remarks from Ani Wahyu Rachmawati, S.Psi., M.S.M., Founder of Research Synergy Foundation.

Our esteemed speaker, Endah Triastuti, Ph.D., from Universitas Indonesia, delivered an insightful presentation on digital ethnography, emphasizing its conceptual framework, evolving scope, and distinctions between conventional and contemporary ethnographic approaches. She elaborated on key principles, data collection methods, and publication opportunities in this field. Additionally, the webinar featured a hands-on session, providing participants with a practical understanding of the essential steps in conducting digital ethnography.

This session was specifically designed for researchers across various fields, including social sciences, public health, political science, IT, gender studies, cultural studies, environmental studies, and more. It focused on helping participants understand how digital technologies and media are shaping behaviors, cultures, and experiences in the digital age, offering valuable insights into how these innovations influence and transform society.

During the Q&A session, participants asked the speaker a variety of questions regarding different aspects of digital ethnography. The second session, which took place on February 13, 2025, concentrated on developing effective search strategies for SLRs. Attendees learned how to create powerful search strings using keywords and Boolean operators, gaining valuable skills to explore the extensive academic literature available.

On February 20, 2025, the third session delved into the Study Selection Process. Key topics included applying rigorous criteria for study screening, data extraction, and creating well-structured forms for data analysis.

Each meeting was accompanied by homework assignments designed to reinforce the concepts discussed. The Intensive Class on Multiple Linear Regression was successfully held on October 29, 30, 31, 2024. The event was officially opened by Ms. Ani Wahyu Rachmawati, S.Psi., M.S.M., Director of the Research Synergy Institute.
