Unlocking the Power of Digital Ethnography for SCOPUS/WOS Journal Publications | Webinar #AskExpert14

Research Synergy Institute, in collaboration with Forum Manajemen Indonesia (FMI) Koordinator Wilayah Jawa Timur, successfully held Webinar #AskExpert14: Digital Ethnography: A Contemporary Research Method for Publishing in SCOPUS/WOS-Indexed Journals on Friday, January 24, 2025. The event attracted 300+ participants from various backgrounds.

In this webinar, the welcome remarks were delivered by Dr. T. Aria Auliandri, SE, MSc from FMI and also a lecturer at the Department of Management, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga, Indonesia. This was followed by a global research ecosystem introduction from Dr. Hendrati Dwi Mulyaningsih, S.E., M.M., Founder & CEO of Research Synergy Foundation. The webinar was then concluded with closing remarks from Ani Wahyu Rachmawati, S.Psi., M.S.M., Founder of Research Synergy Foundation.

Our esteemed speaker, Endah Triastuti, Ph.D., from Universitas Indonesia, delivered an insightful presentation on digital ethnography, emphasizing its conceptual framework, evolving scope, and distinctions between conventional and contemporary ethnographic approaches. She elaborated on key principles, data collection methods, and publication opportunities in this field. Additionally, the webinar featured a hands-on session, providing participants with a practical understanding of the essential steps in conducting digital ethnography.

This session was specifically designed for researchers across various fields, including social sciences, public health, political science, IT, gender studies, cultural studies, environmental studies, and more. It focused on helping participants understand how digital technologies and media are shaping behaviors, cultures, and experiences in the digital age, offering valuable insights into how these innovations influence and transform society.

During the Q&A session, participants asked the speaker a variety of questions regarding different aspects of digital ethnography. The questions covered topics such as the practical applications of digital ethnography, its challenges, and how it can be effectively implemented in various research contexts.
