Improving Academic Writing Skills: Webinar II of the LPU E-Coaching Clinic Series 2024

On September 18, 2024, the LPU E-Coaching Clinic Series 2024 hosted its second webinar, centered on key elements of scientific and academic writing. This engaging event included a range of sessions led by experienced facilitators, aimed at improving participants’ writing proficiency and expertise. The webinar kicked off with a comprehensive introduction to the “E-Coaching Program Scheme & How to Understand Review Results,” offering valuable insights into the E-Coaching framework and techniques for effectively interpreting review feedback to enhance manuscript quality.

Prof. Rasmitadila from Universitas Djuanda delivered two insightful sessions: “Crafting an Effective Research Methodology Section in a Research Article” and “Presenting Data, Analyzing, and Discussing Findings in a Research Article.” These sessions provided essential guidance on developing strong methodology sections and presenting data clearly, which are vital for enhancing research articles. Additionally, the segment titled “Navigating the Publication Process in Peer-Reviewed International Journals: Insights from the Editorial and Review Stages” illuminated the publication journey, outlining the roles and expectations encountered at each phase of the editorial and review process.

The webinar wrapped up with a session titled “Creating an Action Plan for Mentoring Sessions,” which emphasized the importance of developing effective action plans to enhance the mentoring experience and promote ongoing growth in academic writing. The structured agenda and expert-led discussions highlighted the commitment to fostering scholarly excellence and academic rigor within the research community.
