Prof. Rasmitadila from Universitas Djuanda presented two key sessions: “How to Write a Good Research Methodology Section in a Research Article” and “How to Write Data Presentation, Data Analysis & Discussion in a Research Article.” These sessions offered valuable guidance on constructing robust methodology sections and presenting data coherently, crucial for strengthening research articles. The segment on “Understanding the Publication Process in Peer-Reviewed International Journals: What Happens at the Editorial & Reviewers Desk” shed light on the publication journey, detailing the roles and expectations at each stage of the editorial and review process.
The webinar concluded with a session on “Developing an Action Plan in Mentoring Sessions,” which focused on creating effective action plans to maximize the benefits of mentoring and ensure continuous improvement in academic writing. In a collaborative effort between the Research Synergy Foundation and FKIP Universitas Mulawarman, the Developing Excellent Research Proposal Workshop 2024 was held at the Swiss Belhotel Balikpapan on the 17th and 18th of February 2024. This workshop aimed to equip participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to develop high-quality research proposals.
Day One: 17th February 2024
The first day of the workshop commenced with an introduction to research issues and problems, setting the stage for the participants to understand the importance of identifying and formulating research problems. This was followed by an individual exercise where participants identified research issues and problems relevant to their field of study.
Dr. Rasmitadila led the session on formulating research objectives, emphasizing the importance of clear and achievable objectives in research proposals. Participants then engaged in an individual exercise to formulate their research objectives.
The afternoon session focused on developing a conceptual framework in education research, highlighting its significance in guiding the research process. An individual exercise allowed participants to apply the concepts learned by developing their conceptual framework.
The day concluded with a session on research proposal writing with AI ethically, where Dr. Rasmitadila demonstrated how artificial intelligence can be used ethically to enhance research proposal writing. Participants then had the opportunity to practice writing their research proposals with AI assistance.
Day Two: 18th February 2024
The second day of the workshop delved into the various types of research methodologies, providing participants with a comprehensive understanding of how to align their chosen methodology with their research objectives and questions. An individual exercise followed, where participants defined the research methodology in their proposals.
The session on data collection, data analysis, and interpretation focused on both quantitative and qualitative research methods, offering insights into best practices for collecting and analyzing data. Participants engaged in an exercise to apply these methods to their research proposals.
Ethical considerations in education research were discussed, highlighting the importance of conducting research ethically and responsibly. Participants then worked on writing their research proposals in PowerPoint, covering chapters 1-3.
The workshop concluded with individual presentations of participants’ research proposals, followed by feedback from Dr. Hendrati Dwi Mulyaningsih. This provided participants with valuable insights and suggestions for improving their proposals.

On December 20 and 21, 2023, a gathering of intellectual minds and aspiring writers convened for the much-anticipated Scientific & Academic Writing: Workshop Intermediate Level. This two-day online event, spanning from 09:00 to 17:00 WIB, provided a comprehensive platform for participants to explore and refine their academic writing prowess.
The curtains rose on the first day with an invigorating opening speech by Dr. Capt. Daniel Dewantoro Rumani, S.E., S.SiT., M.M., MA, setting the stage for an enlightening journey. His words ignited a spark, fostering a sense of curiosity and determination among the attendees.
The inaugural session, led by Dr. Hendrati Dwi Mulyaningsih, Founder of the Research Synergy Foundation, delved into “Global Scholars Mindset Development.” Dr. Hendrati, with her contagious enthusiasm, encouraged participants to embrace a global perspective in their pursuit of knowledge.
The subsequent sessions further delved into research methodologies. Dr. Hendrati mesmerized the audience with an “Overview Research Methodology: Quantitative Methodology,” while Ani Wahyu R, Director of the Research Synergy Institute, facilitated an engaging “Group Discussion & Sharing: Research Ideas & Design,” creating a collaborative platform for ideation and experience sharing.

Ani Wahyu R once again led a session dissecting the disparity between reputable international journals and predatory ones in “Reputable vs Predatory International Journal,” enlightening participants on the importance of selecting appropriate platforms for their academic publications.
As the sun rose on the second day, renewed vigor filled the participants. Dr. Hendrati began with an “Overview Qualitative Methodology,” delving deep into qualitative approaches in research. Subsequently, R. A. Wahyu revisited insights into international journals, emphasizing the significance of judiciously choosing publication platforms.
Santi Rahmawati, Director of Scholarvein, acted as a guide, navigating participants through the use of AI in crafting research papers. This was followed by intensive practical sessions that honed the skills of crafting Abstracts, Introductions, Literature Reviews, and Methodologies.
Beyond the acquisition of writing skills, the participants were sensitized to the issue of plagiarism. They were equipped to confront this issue and learned appropriate paraphrasing techniques in “Plagiarism Issues in Publication & Paraphrasing.”
The workshop culminated in a memorable group mentoring session, which assisted participants in finalizing their research articles. The rigorous process of plagiarism checking before submission to journals also took precedence before the workshop concluded with the “Submission to Journal” session.
